Meet our Veterinarians & Owners of Blake Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Richard Blake was raised in Strawberry Plains, TN. His family had a dairy farm and raised crops, where he gained a passion in animal care. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and achieved his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He has special interests in ultrasound/echocardiography, internal medicine, and surgery. When he isn't working or spending time with family and pets, he is researching history and metal detecting.
Dr. Candice Blake grew up in Clarksville, TN. She has always had a passion to work with animals. She also achieved her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Afterwards she wanted to return to Clarksville to serve her hometown community. She has a passion in surgery, preventative care, and internal medicine, as well as the human-animal bond. Outside of work, she loves to craft, create art, and spend time with her children.
Meet our Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Molly White has been caring for pets and their people for the past four years. A proud UT Knoxville graduate — Go Vols! — she completed both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees there. Dr. White knew from an early age that she wanted to care for animals, and she now has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, preventive care, and helping clients feel confident and informed about their pets’ health.
For her, the best part of veterinary medicine is watching her patients grow from playful puppies and kittens into beloved senior companions — and being there every step of the way.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her spending time with her fiancé Andy and their three dogs — Sunny, Tuck, and Blue. She also loves reading a good book, traveling to new places, kayaking local rivers, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
She’s excited to join the BVC team and looks forward to building meaningful connections and relationships with pets and their families for years to come.
Meet our Assistant Practice Manager!

Meet Kimberly, our Assistant Practice Manager. She has been with us since before we opened. She was born and raised north of here in Kentucky.
For the first 11 years after high school, she waitressed at a small-town restaurant where she gained communication skills that continue to benefit her to this day. She grew in that role and moved into a management position in which she learned many other valuable skills. Kimberly decided in 2020 that she wanted to move into a position that allowed her to work with animals, something she has always had a deep love for. She comes to us with nearly 4 years of Veterinary Medicine experience.
Along with having a love for animals Kimberly enjoys hiking, crocheting, and spending time with her human and fur children. She has two human daughters named Ashlynn and Presleigh and her fur-babies include a Great Dane named Maverick (the most handsomest boy), a Long Coat Dalmatian puppy named Goose (his proper name is Silly Goose), a rescue Pit Mix named NaNa, a Maine Coon named Reba MeowcEntire, and two adopted kitties: Freya the tortoiseshell and Salem the black cat.
